Message From Chairman

	“Service to mankind is service to God”. With much excitement with this noble idea, I started my professional career as a Surgeon with the Government Health Sector of Nepal way back in the year 1983. Later on, I established the first Nursing Home in the private sector at Birgunj in the year 1985 as I felt this would give me more opportunities to serve the society much better. During all these days, I have noticed that the health sector in Nepal has been hard hit with the vast deficit of health manpower. Similar situation also prevail in most of our neighboring nations. This prompted me to cherish a dream for establishing an institution that will produce the most competent health manpower for Nepal in particular and the Global Village in general.
Dr. Jainuddin Ansari MBBS/ MS/FICS/FAIS (Chairman)	Our sincere, determined and devoted efforts with the immense support from some of my friends, family members and financial institutions finally paved the way for the materialization of this dream with the establishment of the National Medical College at Birgunj, Nepal in the year 2001.
National Medical College is established and promoted by the “National Medical College Pvt. Ltd” under my chairmanship. Walking down through the memory lane of this college, I recall the countless hurdles and challenges that we had to face to establish this Medical College. Many a time, the cloud of uncertainty jolted our patience and put us in a pool of frustration. However, our strong determination succeeded in saving us from getting distracted from the goal. In the initial phase we had to face severe financial crunch for developing the essentially required infrastructure and other resources mandatory for starting a Medical College. To begin with, this college was established in a rented building with limited facilities. Within a short duration of just two years time, this college was shifted to its own new campus having huge physical infrastructures and all necessary facilities. Today the National Medical College Pvt. Ltd. stands with very sound financial backup and support of financial institutions.
It is great honour and pride for us that this Medical College was formally inaugurated by the Honb’le Prime Minister Shri Madhav Kumar Nepal. This institution has attained the highest academic place among all the Medical Colleges in Nepal and has earned global reputation as a centre of excellence in Health Science Education, Research and Health Care Services. National Medical College provides an extremely encouraging academic atmosphere that instills Strong determination among its students to attain their full potentials to gain in depth knowledge, competency in skills added to the positive development of compassionate and benevolent attitudes. In terms of the huge infrastructure, world class academic facilities, highly qualified faculty and the affectionate guardianship from the members of the management board, students find many unique advantages of this college over all the other Medical College in Nepal. In addition to academic aspects, our students really enjoy the homely and safe hostel accommodation and the wide choice of facilities for extra curricular activities. Our degrees have wide global recognition and acceptance.
